ILA Strike: Atlantic and Gulf Coast Ports 🚨

The International Longshoremen’s Association (ILA) has announced the possibility of a strike across all Atlantic and Gulf Coast ports starting October 1st if a new contract agreement is not finalized. Negotiations with the United States Maritime Alliance (USMX) remain ongoing, with the current contract set to expire on September 30th.

This potential strike may affect all East Coast and Gulf Coast ports, potentially resulting in delays and additional costs, such as demurrage, detention, or rerouting freight to alternative ports. We are closely monitoring the situation and maintaining regular communication with our carriers to stay ahead of any developments.

In preparation, we are proactively reviewing all shipments currently in transit to these ports and will coordinate with carriers on alternative options if necessary.

Thank you for your understanding and continued partnership. We will keep you informed as the situation evolves.
